Tag for April and in the garden

Hi everyone!
I hope you all had some great easter days. We had....The weather was not so good, very cold, but luckily no rain or snow! There was a lot to do in April, like taking care of my parents in law's home for 2 weeks, so i had no time to make the Tim Holtz tag. But today i made it.
And, lucky me..., this weeks challenge over at Simon Says Stamp is: anything goes. So I'd like to join this challenge with my belated tag....

I have been to a garden fair in Berlin in April to do some shopping for plants. Here is what i bought. 2 ferns, 3 hostas and a Pulmonaria

And, because thats the reason I can´t craft so much sometimes, some pics from the garden.
Hostas in pots

B is for...

is the new challenge at Simon Says Stamp. For me B is for Birthday Card.
I like making cards since i started crafting. And for me it is very important to give a friend or familymember a selfmade card for his or her birthday.
Here is a simple birthday card i made for this weeks challenge.

My next Tag...

.. is finished. After I worked in the garden today I took some time for crafting. I worked on a Mini Album, but it is not finished yet.
This month i was a lot faster with the Tim Holtz Tag for March!!! It was very easy to make.

The background looks great with the technique Tim uses! A must try!
To fit in the challenge at Simon Says Stamp I used some green color for the background, because the challenge is called: A hint of clover.

And now i will visit Tims Blog and the SSS Blog to get a little inspiration from all the other entries.

New year. first post...

...Hi my scrappy friends out there. I am back in the new year with my first project.
It is the Tim Holtz tag for january.

Now, with more time and less work, i hope to have more time for crafting, to try new recipes (baking and cooking), for the garden and for relaxing... I started with making new cookies for christmas. Some Swedish Butterballs, After Eight cookies and Snowflakes. Snowflakes are my favorite, followed by Swedish Butterballs. Both are so yummy...

The next new recipe i want to try is a WeightWatchers cheesecake with mixed berries. I will try a lot WW recipes during the following weeks. For my birthday i plan to only have WW things on the table.

Yesterday i started with cleaning my craft room. I sorted out some things i did not use a while (or never!!!), like decoupage papers, glass nuggets, translucent paper, newspapers, glitter.... I definitely need more space in my cupbords. Maybe i will get a little money for this.

Thats all for now. Thank you for stopping by. I hope to be back soon.

Back again....

Hello everyone!

After a long time I am back with a new blog post. As every year, I had not so much time during the summer. The garden needs a lot of it....Next year I guess it will be better. In January I will start to work less hours a week. I hope it will give me more time for the household and my hobbies.
But I started and finished some projects during the last month. I bought my first can of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint and the wax too. I painted a small table with it and a chair. But there are no photos yet.
I crochet a bit. I started a LalyLala pattern. A little sheep. These patterns are so cute.
I have been to the craft and hobby fair in Leipzig with my good friend Franziska and I visited her too.

Yesterday I finished a small journal. The tutorial is by Stephanie Miller. I made 2 others, month ago. The link to the tutorial is somewhere here on the blog....
I also watched some tuts from Xannero1 on Youtube. She always uses lots of flaps and pockets on her mini albums. In this journal I used magnets for the first time.
It has lots of pockets and flaps.
I hope you like it....

With this journal I would like to take part on the Simon Says Stamp Challenge. This week anything goes.

I hope to be back soon with a new finished project. Have a wonderful long weekend everyone....

Vacation in the Netherlands

We spend some days in the Netherlands, Den Haag. We stayed at the Steigenberger Kurhaus Hotel which is directly at the beach...
We arrived there Monday evening.
Tuesday we visited the Rotterdam Zoo and after this we drove into the citycenter for shopping. But in the Netherlands most shops close at 6 pm so we had only 1 hour for shopping.
The Zoo is so beautiful with huge territories for the animals. The Oceanium is awesome, the big hall with the butterflies too. You should go there when you are in Rotterdam.
Another cool thing. There are some animals without real barriers, like the marmots. As you can see in the first 2 pics - i could reach out my hand and try to grab one.

After dinner we drove back to Den Haag.

Wednesday we drove to Amsterdam for sightseeing and shopping too. We parked our car in a big car park not far from Madame Tussauds. It was very expensive. 2€ for 20 min.....We stayed there for about 3-4 hours. I should say, we wanted to stay, cause on the way back to our car there where so many policecars, bikes and officers. The street we wanted to walk was closed and we had to go another way. When we reached the street where the car park was.... it was closed.... We could not get into the carpark. We asked the officer why we cannot get to our car and he just said that there is a problem. He could not tell how long we had to wait. We just said: Hey, our car is inside this house and its very expensive to stay there... He knew but didn't do anything
So we walked the streets a little more looked for a toilet and went back- still a barrier. We heared some people talkin about a bomb threat... OK, This could take longer...we asked again and they said 3-4 hours... holy shit.... We took another walk to the central train station and also looked for a cheap place to eat thats not fast food. We did´nt find anything.

We slowly walked back to the street and the barrier was gonne, we thought.... but it was just a few meters nearer at the car park, still no way to get inside. So we just took a seat on the stairs of a building nearby. After maybe 10 min. the barrier was open. After all we spend more than 8 hours in Amsterdam. For our parking ticket this would have been a full day (50€), oh no. But when we got inside there was a young man telling us, that today parking is for free, because of the circumstances. Yay!!! Doing the happy dance!!!!

Thursday we spend in Den Haag with sightseeing til 3pm and then 2 hours at the beach.

Friday we left at 10.30 am. We stopped at Palais Het Loo in Appeldoorn for 2 hours and arrived home at 9.15 pm.
