Back with something new

Hey bloggers
im back with a new project i just made for Simon says stamp and show.
Theme this week: Thru' the Looking Glass - Projects with Depth.

As i had a not used TH configurations box i thought to use it, as many of the DT members too...
I just took the biggest of the inside boxes to decorate.

I made it like a little piece of a living room. When you look inside there is the little boy riding the horse and the fireplace in the background.
The floor is green and the walls are covered with holly leaves paper.

Inside the box i glued some gift boxes and a christmas tree i decorated with green pearls as christmas balls and a small star brad as the topper.

The outside of the box i painted with gold acrylic color, then i used some crackle medium and after this white acrylic color. Now the box has this old look and its covered all around with Mod Podge. I then added a card stock cut out that says: Joy to the world. Its decorated with white acrylic color as snow.
At the end i made a bow with blue seem bin
ding.

12 Tags of Christmas

Hey Bloggers,
are you enjoying Tim Holtz´ 12 tags of christmas? I do!
They inspired me, like last year, to make some for my christmas gifts.
Here are the first two i made on friday.
For the one on the left i used Tims distress ink pads with the holiday colors.
I stamped the trees and added some Distress stickles and Enamel accents.
The star is covered with two layers of clear UTEE. And as a little accent i used 3 small red bells.
The right one is glimmermisted with Red Nosed Reindeer and Santa Baby. I stamped and embossed some snowflakes. The letters are Grungeboard and also glimmermisted with Olive Vine.
The garland is colored with the distress christmas color too. And again i added a small bell.
The first tag fits the Simon says stamp and show... some stars challenge.
