Back with something new

Hey bloggers
im back with a new project i just made for Simon says stamp and show.
Theme this week: Thru' the Looking Glass - Projects with Depth.

As i had a not used TH configurations box i thought to use it, as many of the DT members too...
I just took the biggest of the inside boxes to decorate.

I made it like a little piece of a living room. When you look inside there is the little boy riding the horse and the fireplace in the background.
The floor is green and the walls are covered with holly leaves paper.

Inside the box i glued some gift boxes and a christmas tree i decorated with green pearls as christmas balls and a small star brad as the topper.

The outside of the box i painted with gold acrylic color, then i used some crackle medium and after this white acrylic color. Now the box has this old look and its covered all around with Mod Podge. I then added a card stock cut out that says: Joy to the world. Its decorated with white acrylic color as snow.
At the end i made a bow with blue seem bin
ding.

12 Tags of Christmas

Hey Bloggers,
are you enjoying Tim Holtz´ 12 tags of christmas? I do!
They inspired me, like last year, to make some for my christmas gifts.
Here are the first two i made on friday.
For the one on the left i used Tims distress ink pads with the holiday colors.
I stamped the trees and added some Distress stickles and Enamel accents.
The star is covered with two layers of clear UTEE. And as a little accent i used 3 small red bells.
The right one is glimmermisted with Red Nosed Reindeer and Santa Baby. I stamped and embossed some snowflakes. The letters are Grungeboard and also glimmermisted with Olive Vine.
The garland is colored with the distress christmas color too. And again i added a small bell.
The first tag fits the Simon says stamp and show... some stars challenge.

Package for a birthday gift

Hey bloggers,
today I wanna show you the little box i made.
It´s the package for my mothers birthday gift. Her birthday is on monday.
This box also fits the Simon says stamp and show some tickets challenge.
The box is from a set I bought at Ikea. I glimmermisted it with Key Lime Pie and Olive Vine and on the edge of the lid i used Champagne Glimmer Glaze.
I glued on some Flowers, ribbon, leaves, a cameo and some bling. The ticket is from Tim Holtz. I used the backside to write Happy Birthday because i don´t have blank tickets. The ticket is hold by a Tim Holtz hanger clip.
I hope my mom likes whats inside and of course the box too.

Bulk garbage ans Simon says stamp and show

Hey Bloggers,

yesterday i found a "nice" old meat safe in our neighbours bulk garbage. A few days ago i just looked at such a meat safe in an Online shop and it was not cheap...
So i took it with me.
I have to clean it , its very dirty.

I don´t know what i will use it for. Maybe in the garden for decorating or in my room for putting my things in.

And then there is another Simon says stamp and show Challenge called Up-cycle or Re-cycle.
For this i have to tell you a little story.
Next year in May i will marry. As we don´t need things for us we said we want money for our Honeymoon.
Sometimes people steal things from partys, so i decided we need something where the guest can throw in the cards and the money. I thougt a big vintage birdcage would be cool. But they are very expensive. Last weekend we had a trip to Lüneburg where i saw a very small birdcage for 25 €.
As i saw the challenge i decided to make a box myself from an old shoebox I used for photos.
Here it is

I started by painting the box 3 times with white acrylic paint. I used a foam brush for it and dabbed the color on to get some texture. the 3rd layer i dried with the heat tool to make the color bubble and create more texture this way.
On top of the box i put some clear UTEE in the wet color so it get some shine. you can see this in the 3rd pic in the black circle.
After everything was dry i cut out a slit on top where people can throw in their cards.
This slit i covered with white ribbon from the inside of the box.
I also added some Distress stickles in , i think, diamond. You can see this in the 3rd pic in the red circle.
In one corner on top i glued another small box that i painted white and decorated with white ribbon and lace.
On this small box stays the bridal couple, wich is also recycled. I got it from my boyfriends sister-in-law. it was on one of her Wedding gifts she got 4 years ago.
I decorated aroung the small box with pink Prima Flowers and some other flowers too.
I also used Prima Bling and 4 small pearl strands.
Around the lid i glued a white ribbon and a green one on top of this.

Have a nice weekend

Hello my friends,

I feel very good today because it was a long weekend for us.

I worked in our garden both days and my boyfriend( soon to be husband) was making lunch. It was so relaxing. Working in our garden makes me feel good.

A new week started and it is time again for Simon says stamp and show… a house. As I don´t have a house-stamp or something similar I decided to make a little Birdhouse. The template is from Marion Smith.

For the house I used some Tim Holtz Paper and Prima Paper for the roof.Inside is a little light chain.

I decorated the house with a little resist canvas bird from Prima that I sprayed with brown and red Glimmer Mist. Then I added some flowers and a small tree branche for the bird to sit on.On one side I added 2 birds from theG45 Once upon a springtime collection and also one on the front. The roof I also colored with red and brown Glimmer Mist. Then I glued on some lace I got from an Etsy store. The same lace I glued on the lower edge of the house – all around. For the hanging I used some pink lace from the same Etsy seller

Another Simon says stamp and show..

... one color, any color

As Christmas is not far away I decided to make another card that fits the theme.
The color i choose is green.

I glimmer misted the card with Olive wine and Forest green by Tattered Angels. For the edge I used the Ranger Distress stamp pad in Shabby Shutters.

The background paper is Merry and Bright from the Graphic 45 Christmas Emporium Collection.
The little girl is from BoBunny Noel Cheer Collection and it´s glued on with foam pads to add dimension. I also used the Forest green to color the edges of the little girl with a brush.
I also glued on the trim and some star shaped chrystals.

Selfmade 12x12" patterned paper

Ok. As i promised, here is a small photo tutorial on my selfmade patterned paper.

I used
12x12" white cardstock
Glimmer Mist Caramel Apple
Versamark Watermark stamp pad
different stamps
Vintage Photo distress stain
Distress pads in Antique Linen, Wild Honey and Vintage Photo
Blending tool
Archival Ink sepia
Mini Mister
soft brush
perfect pearls gold
Distress stickels Rock Candy

First i stamped with all my stamps and the watermark pad all over the page.
I dried everything with the heat tool. Then i sprayed the page with the Glimmer Mist.

After this i used the Antique linen and the Blending tool and colored nearly the whole page.
After this i used the Minimister to spritz some water all over the paper to blend the colors and lighten it a bit.
Then i took the wild honey to color it more on the outside.

After this i stamped again some elements with the Watermark inkpad and dried with Heat tool.
Then i did another layer of paint with Vintage Photo. After this I put some water on my fingers and spritzed it on the paper and let it set for some seconds. Then i dried it with the heat tool
Than i used the Archival Ink to stamp my images on the paper.

While the ink was still wet i took a soft brush and some perfect pearls in gold and put it on some of the stamped images.

The last things i added was some Distress stickles Rock Candy on a butterfly and Vintage Photo distress stain all around the edge..

And here is the finished paper.
