The last roses

Hey everyone out there!

I have not been here for a while now. As always, there is much to do in the garden during summer.

I tried to grow some potatoes and carots, chard and radish in big pots and it worked.

Today i cut the last roses in my garden. Don´t they look beautiful. I love roses.

The big bags where i planted my potatoes. Next year i need bigger ones!

I not only spent a lot of time in the garden, i also spend a lot of time crocheting. I made 3 hats (one for our niece and 2 for our cute little nephews that where born in Juli) a scarf(for our niece) and some granny squares, that i´d like to use for a blanket.

I and i found a wonderful blog that i love to read.

Aiken house & gardens

Carolyn and her husband have such a beautiful garden and so many vintage things in their house. 

I could watch the photos every day. I wish i would find such nice thing here.

 

I hope that i have more time for papercrafting soon, so i can share something with you.

On Saturday i will goo to a craft and hobby fair with a friend. I hope i will find some of the things i am looking for.

And on monday i will go to a concert of my favourite band: SUEDE.

More Cards and a challenge

Hi!

Today I would love to show you some cards i made.
The first one is for the SSS challenge: The button.
I used the buttons as flower centers.
I tried to give the card some dimension by using different sized foam pads for the background papers.

 

I used Prima Flowers and Bling.

 

 

 A birthday card with Prima paper and Flower, Bling and ribbons. I love the flowers on the paper!!!

And another birthday card with movable tags and a hidden  message.
I think this could be a card for a man.

Tim's tag for June

Tim's tag for June 2013 is online and i did mine today. I had to improvise a lot.
I have no big dragonfly stamp, so i used his Rock Heart.
I have no Distress Markers. I used water color pens.
I have no big background stamp. I used different stamps to create the background.
I have no Distress Paint, I only used a pad and 2 Distress Stains to color the tag.

But after all, here is my Tag.

Garden pictures

Hi everyone,

We are back from our vacation in Egypt. The weather there was wonderful. Sun every day and more than 32 °C. We were so lazy and didn´t do anything. Just laying in the sun on the beach.

Now, back in Germany for nearly two weeks i get crazy because of the bad weather. Nearly every day it rains. I miss the sun so much. I can´t work in my garden a lot, but i have to!!!

I hope its getting sunny very soon so we can enjoy our garden.

But even in the rain the garden looks wonderful.

Here are some cards i made this week.
The first one is for the Simon says stamp and show challenge: Background

Tag for January

In 2013 Tim Holtz is doing a Tag every month again.
Here is what i made out of the January Tag.

Lace Love...

... is the theme for this weeks challenge over at Simon says stamp and show.
I tried my best on this challenge to use the lace. I love lace and have a hole bunch of it, but its somehow hard for me to find a good way to use it. Normally i use it as a border like in my card i made today.
As Easter is not far away, i started to make easter cards.
For this i used some rose cardstock and colored the edges with the Vintage Photo Distress Pad. The paper in the background is from Primas Tea Thyme collection that i also colored the same way.
I used a 3-dimesional picture....and some pink lace from a Deco Shop.
In my opinion there are too less scrapbooking papers with the easter theme.....What do you think?!

LITTLE CHRISTMAS GEDICHT
When the last Kalendersheets
flattern through the winterstreets
and Dezemberwind is blowing
then ist everybody knowing
that it is not allzuweit
she does come the Weihnachtszeit
All the Menschen, Leute, people
flippen out of ihr warm Stüble
run to Kaufhof, Aldi, Mess
make Konsum and business,
kaufen this und jene things
and the churchturmglocke rings.
Manche holen sich a Tännchen
when this brennt they cry "Attention".
Rufen for the Feuerwehr
"Please come quick to löschen her!"
Goes the Tännchen off in Rauch
they are standing on the Schlauch.
In the kitchen of the house
mother makes the Christmasschmaus.
She is working, schufts and bakes
the hit is now her Joghurtkeks
and the Opa says als Tester
"We are killed bis to Silvester".
Then he fills the last Glas wine-
yes this is the christmastime!
Day by day does so vergang
and the holy night does come
you can think, you can remember
this is immer in Dezember.
Then the childrenlein are coming
candle-Wachs is abwärts running.
Bing of Crosby Christmas sings
while the Towerglocke rings
and the angels look so fine
well this is the Weihnachtstime.
Baby-eyes are kugelrund
the family feels kerngesund
when unterm Weihnachtsbaum they're hocking
then nothing can them ever shocking.
They are happy, are so fine
this happens in the christmastime.
The animals all in the house
the Hund, the Katz, the bird, the Maus,
are turning round the Weihnachtsstress,
enjoy this as never nie
well they find Kitekat and Chappi
in the Geschenkkarton of Papi.
The family begins to sing
and wieder does a Glöckchen ring.
Zum Song vom grünen Tannenbaum
the Tränen rennen down and down.
bis our mother plötzlich flennt
"The christmas-Gans im Ofen brennt!"
Her nose indeed is very fine

Simon says stamp and show

inspired by Tim's 12 Tags

 

My  favourite technique is the one he used on his 9th tag in 2011.

Stamping with a background stamp, embossing with clear powder. Then inking the whole tag and again embossing with clear powder.

This is the tag i made today. I used some tiny red bells. The colors i used are Evergreen Bough and Festive Berries. The Christmas Tree and the chipboard piece are Graphic 45.

The cardstock with "Christmas Day" is from Authentique. Just added a blue Sem binding ribbon and some more tiny red bells on top. Ohhh, and some stickles Rock Candy on the tree.

Vacation

Today is my first day of vacation. I just have to go to work 4 days in December: 20th, 21st, 27th and 28th. Then the year is over....
I hope to get some things done during my free time. We still need some christmas presents and i have to decorate the Christmas Tree. We want to visit my hubbys aunt and today we both get a haircut.
We want to make cookies for Christmas......
We had a lot of snow at the weekend, about 15 cm i would say. But its melting away, i think its warmer today.

So there is so much to do, lets get started. Hope to see you soon with some creative related themes.
