Day 2 in London

the second day of our trip we wanted to start with a great breakfast. In the internet i found a cool "restaurant"  called "The breakfast Club". When i found it i just thought: I have to go ther for breakfast. Luckily there was one not far from our hotel near the Liverpool station. I did not have the correct adress so we just looked for it where i thought it should be, but we did not find it. In the evening i searched for the correct adress so we could go there the next day.
We then had our breakfast at McDonalds....
Then we started into the day with a visit at Madame Tussauds. There were many people and although we bought our tickets online we had to wait longer than those people who bought there tickets there...

Did i mention i like Bollywood films and SRK?!

For 1pm we had booked a table at Jamie Olivers italien Restaurant at Picadilly Circus. The food was yummie. I loved the Pavlova i had for dessert. So sad we don´t have one in Germany. Great food and a cool atmosphere.

From the restaurant we took the Tube to Harrods. It was ..... phenomenal. the architecture inside and outside, the things they sell... everything. we bought some scones and muffins for our next rest.

From Harrods we walked to the Royal Albert Hall. A beautiful building with so much music history inside.

From the Albert statue on the other side of the street we walked throught the park to get to Kensington Palace where we took a rest and ate our scones and muffins. There were so many squirrels and they were very tame, so cute.

With new power we walked to Holland park. I left my good friend Franziska on a bench for a rest and discovered the park. My friend ist not as much interested in gardening as i am...

From there we used the Tube to get to St. Pauls Cathedral. Later we walked through Chinatown, where we had dinner. The day ended at Cings Kross station where we looked for Platfor 9 3/4 and the Harry Potter Shop, but we could not find it. So we headed back to the hotel.

Trip to London Day 1 Thursday

Hi blogger friends,

last weekend i had my trip to London. Me and my good friend Franziska spent 4 days there, from Thursday to Sunday.
We had a long list what we wanted to see and do. We arrived Thursday mornig and left our luggae at Victoria Station. From there we used the Tube go get to Westminster Abbey and Big Ben/ Houses of Parliament. After we shot some photos we walked down the road via White Hall to see the Changing of the Horseguards. After this we walked through a park via Buckingham Palace. There were lots of people, we nearly could walk. We thought this were only tourists, but we were wrong. As we walked away there was a horse buggy arriving  with, i think,  3 persons inside. I don´t know who it was but those people where deffinitely there because of them. We walked away from the palace towards Hard Rock Cafe because we were hungry. But it was to crowded to get a seat. Also the shop was filled with people. It was no joy to be inside. So we walked to the next Tube station and drove to Victoria again. There we had our late lunch.

From there we started to The Tower, where we used an audio guided tour all around. We also watched the crown jewels. It took about 30-40 mins to get inside, but it was worthwhile....
Then we walked over to Tower Bridge, this was the time it started to rain.  We had much more on our list for this day, but the rain made it not possible to go sightseeing. So we got back to Victoria, grabbed our luggage and headed forward to our hotel(Tune Hotel) near Liverpool Street Station.
The location around was ok, the hotel really new, clean and modern. The rooms are a bit small but hey, we only sleep there...

Later, when the rain had stopped we drove back into the centre where we had a ride on the London Eye. The view from above is unique.  From there we headed to Picadilly Circus where we walked through the streets to find a nice restaurant that´s not too expensive. We found a little italian restaurant where we had a pizza and noodles. From there we got back to our room where we arrived half past eleven...

to be continued....

Tag March 2014

Hey everybody,

I´m still in time for Tims Tag for March 2014.
The technique is called smudge stamping. This way i created 2 Tags. I tried 2 times before, bout it looked not so good. I´ll have to use these tags for something else....

But here are my final results. I'd like to enter these tags in this weeks challenge over at Simon Says Stamp. This week it has no rules.
Here are my 2 Tags. On the left ist the "full strength” stamped image and on the the right the “second generation” like Tim called it.

I wish you all a wonderful week with lots of sunshine.

Tick Tock Tag

Hello,

another week, another challenge at Simon Says Stamp. This week it was Tick Tock.

So i thought of a tag. For the ´background i used a Tim Holtz Stencil with clocks and Distress inks Pumice Stone and Iced Spruce. The edge is distress with Vintage Photo and i used the Prima Distress Tool to roughen the edge.

The stamp (Archival Jet Black) should be in the lower center but it fell of the acrylic block and landed where it now is, a little off center. I made the best out of it and stamped some more clocks and hands with Archival Sepia.

The flowers are by Prima Marketing, the Chipboard clock, the flower ribbon and the swirls too. For the flower center i used flatback pearls.

Hope to see you next week with a new project.

Little blue box

Hey blogger friends out there,

today i want to share with you my little blue box i made for this weeks challenge at SSS: Paste
It is good to have a decorated box on hand in case you need it.

I used a small cardboard box. I sprayed it with 3 different Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists.

The bottom of the box i decorated with the Structure paste. I made a little flower border.

The lid is decorated with some lace and pearl "ribbon".

On top i glued some Wild Orchid flowers. I got them yesterday. The first time i ordered from them.

The flowers are georgeous. I glued some Prima leaves on and a little butterfly. I think its from
BoBunny.

Today is a wonderful day....

After 2 hard weeks, filled with tears, sorrow and pain, i had a great day today.
I got a call from our radio station (BB-Radio) that we are listening to, during work. Last friday i was taking part on a competition for 2 flight tickets to London and 200 € pocket money! And today they called me, to tell me that i have won.....
Great, isn't it!?
I asked my dad if he would like to come with me. He said yes. I think this will be a good relief for us.
I am such a "great Britain Fan" and ,of course, i love London. I have been there one time in 1997 and it was to less time to see all the interesting thing.
So today i was looking for a good and not so expensive hotel. I was also looking through my London guidebooks to think about where i would like to go to.

I wish you all a wonderful weekend.

Tag for February

Hey there...

this week i worked on the Tim Holtz Tag for February. For his Chalkboard technique i used a Cameo stamp so that this tag also fits for the Simon SaysStamp challenge: A Cameo Appearance.
I think I heat embossed the powder a little too much. It was not so easy for the chalk to stay on the paper. But for my first try i think it looks ok.

This Tag is dedicated to my Mom who died last week. It´s the first thing i created since that day. I think she would have loved it. I miss her a lot.
